Taking Full Responsibility of Your Feelings

Let’s take a deeper look at our feelings.  There is nobody in the world who knows you better than yourself, but sometimes keeping yourself in touch with your feelings is really difficult.  It’s basically you alone who can spend some time keeping yourself in check.  First thing is to become aware of our emotions/feelings.  There are 6 levels of emotions according to Jack Canfield of “The Success Principles”.  First set are those we need to conquer to get to the ultimate feelings:
Feelings to conquer:
Anger – a strong feeling of annoyance, displeasure, or hostility
Hurt – mental pain or offense,
Fear – a distressing emotion aroused by impending danger, evil, pain, etc.,
Remorse – deep and painful regret for wrongdoing
Regret – a sense of loss, disappointment, dissatisfaction, etc.
Accountability – the state of being liable, or answerable.
The ultimate feelings are:
forgiveness – to grant pardon for or remission of (an offense, debt, etc.); absolve.
understanding – mental process of a person who comprehends; comprehension; personal interpretation
compassion – a feeling of deep sympathy and sorrow for another who is stricken by misfortune, accompanied by a strong desire to alleviate the suffering.
love – a profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person.
Here is an exercise you can do to remove the blocks in your life that are preventing you from getting to the ultimate feelings:
Pick an area in your life where you feel stuck or blocked.  Answer the following question:
Let yourself go back to the first time you can remember ever feeling this way.
a. Where were you?
b. How old were you?
c. Who is around you?
d. What is happening?
e. Was there a limiting decision you made or a limiting belief you took on there?
Now imagine yourself in the future to when you are 70  years old. Look back at yourself at the age you are now, from that perspective. What would the 70-year-old tell your current self? What insight or blessing can you find in this event? What advice do you have for yourself?
Now come back to the current state you are now and write down the answer to this question:
Think about your present issue. How does it feel now?
Do this with as many areas in your life that have blocks and start to see yourself eliminating those blocks in your life that are preventing you from reaching the ultimate feelings that will move you toward freedom.
Hasta la Proxima,
