Taking Personal Responsibility

What do I mean?  We have been shaped into the person we are because of all the people we have been listening to.  So what resonates for you?  What are those things that your inner voice tells you?  What do you listen to day in and out?  What we need to understand according to Jack Canfield, the author of “The Success Principles” is that we are creating our experiences, our success, the quality of our relationships, and our health by our thoughts and beliefs, the images we focus on.  “Personal responsibility is the key attitude for personal empowerment”.    So, without self-judgment, let’s focus our attention on understanding ourselves. With this understanding, we can then make intentional choices.  When your choices don’t result in getting the things you wanted, you can look to understand what happened and what steps you can take next, rather than looking for someone or some circumstance to blame.

Exercise:  Finish this sentence……. If I were to take full responsibility for my life, I would change the way I ________________.

Hasta la Proxima,

I like these thoughts on taking responsibility not only for what you do but also what we think about.
